Australsun wins WA Government Schools Tender for Solar Power
Following a rigorous and highly competitive tender process, Australsun are proud to have become a preferred provider of solar power to Western Australian government schools, under the National Solar Schools Program (NSSP).
Through this program, schools are eligible for grants of up to $50,000 to support them in tackling climate change, through the installation of solar power systems, rainwater tanks and other renewable energy measures.
Managing Director of Australsun, Ross Young says "Schools play an important role in leading the way in the community and we are proud to be working with them to implement renewable energy solutions that will save on electricity bills, educate students as well as reduce our footprint on the environment."
"The NSSP provides a great opportunity for schools to install a solar power system that will save them money on their electricity bills and protect themselves against rising electricity prices at absolutely no out of pocket expense to themselves."
Australsun has extensive experience designing and installing a range of large and small scale solar power systems for Australian conditions. One of Australsun's founders is a qualified and experienced renewable energy engineer, having worked in environmental management and facilitation roles for both government and private enterprise.
"In providing a quality offering to schools we have develop a team of in-house engineers and energy consultants to provide expert advice and solutions to maximise the benefits of solar power for schools," Mr Young says.
"Through our national buying power we have also been successful in providing exceptional value for money with savings being passed on to our customers to encourage the widespread adoption of solar power."
